I wasn’t sure if I wanted to redirect to a Rick Roll or make a serious page. So why not both?

I also debated on making a somewhat official looking site for Travel Lordran, but I decided that was more effort than I was willing to put in.

Now for some random thoughts on the run & video…

This was a fun challenge run to play through, and a fun video to make. In the video I mentioned I did the original routing and attempts sometime last year, and while I don’t have the VODs uploaded, it looks like I did attempts all through July 2023, across 15 sessions. I want to say I did somewhere around 35 serious attempts, and my distance PB was Bed of Chaos, not sure what my overall PB was when I stopped doing attempts.

It took me 8 attempts (as I mentioned in the video) this time around, across 5 streams. The winning attempt was about 7 hours long across 3 separate streams (I did some other stuff in between).

For the Centipede Demon bit, I loaded his 3D model up into a model viewer and counted his legs. I have no idea what inspired me to do it, but once I had the idea I had to commit. And I can’t remember if I included it in my count, but there’s actually a cut off leg on one of the limbs as well.

I really wanted to make an animation of Petrus, a Homeward Bone, and Firebombs in an Odd One Out popup from OSRS (below), but in-game the items are 3D and they spin around, and I couldn’t figure out how to get a 3D model of Petrus. I spent quite a while on it, getting as far as figuring out how to decrypt and unpack the game files into their raw 3D models, and finding a list of IDs that correspond to the models (shoutouts to Illusory Wall, the goat for that), but Petrus, while he had an ID, didn’t have a corresponding 3D model. I’m sure I just missed something, but I gave up on it. I figured the effort wasn’t worth the maybe 10 second bit it would be in the video.

I didn’t time it or anything, but I think in total the edit took probably 25-30 hours total. I end up watching effectively the whole stream through at least 2 times, and obviously some of the cut aways take a while, having to do motion tracking frame by frame.

That’s all that’s shaking loose from my braing right now, but if I think of anything else I’ll be sure to add it later (I won’t)
